New Year, new website!

I'm glad to anounce that after a few months working on it, the new year has brought to light a new version of my website: better looking-design, more information and many more novelties!

As some of you know, my website is my toy and my own creation: I don't know anything about programing, but I'm smart enough to figure out how to add new tricks, cut & paste... It's definitely not the work of a professional, but most clients love it's homemade feel and specially its content. That's why I've never wanted to hire anyone to administer it, as I'd lose the control over it... and the opportunity to have fun and learn adding new touches anytime I think about something new!

So one of the things that really needed improvement was the menu design.Since the website is mostly done using Microsoft Word (code experts: roll your eyes! haha), it was based on a very simple table and I must admit it didn't look too pretty. That's why I decided it was time to do something about it. I tried a couple of programs and finally I got it working with All Web Menus by Likno. Despite the many options their program offers, I didn't need anything too fancy: just a simple elegant menu that combined with my favorite color: orange. It was so easy to create and implement! And now you'll be able to find what  you are looking for much quickerly!

Actually, the menu design gave me the idea to change the title stylings in my web aswell. Now each section title is much more prominent and comes framed either in black or orange, depending on the hierarchy of it. A much neater look!

I also worked with the pictures, which used to link to a Picassa Album, and now open a Slideshow. Much easier to visualize and get an idea of what each tour includes!

And talking about tours, I've been creating new tour descriptions that are stored in my Wordpress site and are linked from my website under each tour entry. Now you will be able to check out all the details, exact itinerary, schedule notes and much more. Lots of additional content to help you choose the best tour for you!

I've also been creating newer products. While life private tours are my passion and my business, I want to open up even more to the web world. That's why now I'll be offering tour gift certificates online, Barcelona e-books by Foreverbarcelona and PDF custom self-guided tours.

 And I'm also making my comunication with readers and clients more dynamic, with the creation of a brand new Newsletters, survey forms and automated testimonial reminders.

I'm so excited about all these innovations and I'm sure that they will enhance your experience with Foreverbarcelona aswell!
