Tapas and Gaudi architecture in the Saints and Sins tour

Seymour and Hellen are big foodies, but they also wanted some sightseeing. After discussing their interests a bit, I suggested them my Saints and Sins tour - And they loved the idea!

I met them in the late afternoon in front of the groups entrance of the Sagrada Famlia church. At that time the crowds are mostly gone, so it's a pleasure to visit! And of course, we got to skip the line as usual (even if it wasn't as long as in the morning).

This church is Gaudí's Masterpiece, the place where he worked for the last 43 years of his life until his death in 1926. Still a work in process, it's scheduled to be completed by 1926-30 aprox. Yet the inside is the most breathtaking place you've ever seen!

We enjoyed discovering all the hidden details and stories and admiring the impressive architecture. Then when they felt they'd had enough, we jumped on a taxi to get to the Passeig de Gràcia area.

I took them to some of my favorite bars in the area: some trendier, some more traditional, but all great! I recommended them specialties according to their tastes. We drank some wine, we ate wonderful tapas, and we lazily strolled from bar to bar while discussing the local architecture on the way and also talking about other subjects they were interested in: politics, local culture, traditions... and of course, food!

Our last stop was a cool cocktail bar where we relaxed and enjoyed the incipient nightlife ambiance.

Before I left, I marked on a map the places where we had been, so they could go back to their favorites during the rest of their stay. I also gave them some more ideas for other places to check out that night.

It had been such a wonderful afternoon in Barcelona!
