Fantastic Míriam!

We chose ForeverBarcelona to show us around on a private tour, and we had Míriam as our guide.

It was really a fantastic experience.
Míriam came joining us at the hotel together with a driver and a minibus (we were 8 people), and she took us discovering the Barcelona of Gaudí. 

Very professional and speaking excellent Italian, she took us up and down around Barcelona showing you most of the Gaudí sites.

Beautiful explanations, interesting even for the kids that never got bored.
We finished by walking around the back alleys of the Cathedral in the Old Town.
Míriam: thank you again for making us discover so many beautiful things in Barcelona.

Great review for Miriam!

Sometimes when I'm already booked and another client contacts me, I'm able to provide another tourguide to show them around. Míriam is one of the tourguides I use more often, and recently she took an American couple to Girona and for a great lunch in the countryside. Their driver was J. Luís, one of my favorite drivers in town.

Here is the letter they have just sent me (they requested to remain anonymous, and I'm respecting their decision so I won't provide any name this time).

I also found a testimonial about a tour Miriam gave (although her last name was mispelled by the client: she's really called Jover - and she's the only Miriam I've ever recomended!).
Curiously enough, this recomendation is just slipped out on a hotel review:

Thank you letter from the Barel

Last week Itai Barel and his son Yotam came to Barcelona, and Míriam and I showed them around:

On their first day I took them visiting the Gaudí sites, then the second day Míriam took them to the Old Town, left them at some great restaurant for lunch, and in the afternoon I took them shopping: they loved the shoes at Panama Jack! Then on Wednesday they managed to avoid the Spain General Strike and visited the Dalí Museum and Montjuïc with Míriam, who was also with them on their last day in town.

Here is the letter they have just sent us:

We would like to thank you both for the interesting and wonderful time we had in Barcelona.

Your guiding was excellent and both of us learnt a lot on Barcelona Catalunia Spain ( and Franko- this is to Miriam).

Last month the Girard family was in Barcelona. I meet them a their hotel and we had a fabulous city tour together. Then the next day, Míriam took them on a tapas tour.

The Lende loved touring with Miriam!

During the high season (that in Barcelona can often go from March to October), sometimes I so busy that I can't cater all the requests I get for tours. This is why sometimes I use the services of my dear friend and colleague Míriam Jover to take care of my clients on days that I've already been booked by someone else. (Of course I let them know I won't be their guide and I make sure to give them reference on Míriam, so they can decide if that's ok with them!).

Well, this week I had her showing around the Lende, while I was with the Leifer. She met them at the Park Güell and then continued on a 6h city tour. Here is their feedback:

Hi Marta -

I just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed sightseeing with Miriam yesterday. She is both charming and very knowledgeable about Gaudi, as well as Barcelona in general. We enjoyed meeting her and had great fun being with her. It could not have been a better day. Thank you for arranging it for us!

I knew they'd love Míriam, as we have a very similar style: she is fun, and knowledgeable as well as professional and dynamic, and we got our official tourguide license on the same year so we have similar experience too.
Again, when I wrote them asking for permission to post their letter here, they still had only good words about her:

Yes, it would be fine for you to use what I wrote on your blog. She is very good, lots of personality and a willingness to focus on what the client wants rather than proceed with a "canned" presentation about the sites.

I'm so pleased I can rely now on someone else to help me keep sharing my love for Barcelona!

The last week of August I organized a few tours for the Schweighardt: my colleague Míriam took them to the Old Town and the Picasso Museum, and I gave them a Gaudi tour and a special tour that included the MNAC (romanesque and modernism sections) as well as the Botanical Garden.

It was a nice time to visit the garden: despite the weather there were still some flowers, but also many bushes were getting ready for autumn and presented their colourful fruits.
